Lots of people choose songs that fit with their relationships that they can relate to or enjoy. Its not at all childish. People choose songs for their weddings. And 50 years later they dance to that song to celebrate their anniversary party.
I have had many songs that I have related to relationships. The only real problem with doing it is when a relationship crumbles. The reason I say this is because that song will remind you of that person every time you hear it. And if the relation has gone sour, it may not necessarily be great to be reminded.
